Based on its functionality Smile Caller ID is operated by two different roles.

A USER is person who uses the telephone by which this person has been assigned a user ID and password.

Administrator

An ADMINISTRATOR is an appointed USER which have rights to manage users. These rights includes:

- Assigns User ID and password

- Activate and deactivate users

- Allocate rules and restrictions

- Other management functions available.

User Activation

User ID needs to be activated before it can be used by a user.  A user ID can have different restrictions or no restrictions.  Restrictions can be one or combination of any. Following are restrictions that can be applied:           

                   Restriction based nominal of relevant currency

                   Restriction based duration of talk time

                   Restriction based number of local or interlocal

Password Change

        Password consists of 4 digit numbers and can be changed by users.

Report

              Following report is available:

                1.  Print all telephone transactions.

                2.  Print usage of each User ID

                3.  Print all User ID

              Printing directly to a printer requires serial port on the printer for example Epson LX300+. 

              Record can also be print to a file using a serial COM to a computer

How to use Smile Caller ID ?

Following are an example on how a user can perform basic function a lattice after a Smile Caller ID is installed.

1.    Dialing Out

A user has been assigned with User ID: 15.  This user ID is restricted to five minutes every call out with nominal value of 100,000 rupiahs and only can make locals calls.  Press the following keys on the telephone keypad:                       

                      9 # 15 # password # phone number

2.    Change a password 

Users are recommended to change the password from the default one given by the administrator. Press the following keys on the telephone keypad:

            9 # * 15 #  old password  # new password # confirm password  # 

If the password is incorrect there will be indication of a different tone.
